REMINDER: Join us this Saturday, February 22, from 10am-3pm 1100 N. Chamberlain Blvd, for our seventh annual Public Works Road-E-O! It’s a FREE, family-friendly festival for the entire community! Last year, more than 2,400 people attended the event. There will be children’s activities, equipment demonstrations, interactive booths, music, food vendors and bounce houses! Back by popular demand is our “Solid Waste Experience” where you can get in a garbage/recycling truck and see what it’s like to operate the arm.
This year’s event is presented by D and D Garage Doors! Come get an up-close look at our big trucks. The highlight of the day is the “Road-E-O” in which Solid Waste and Operations & Maintenance heavy equipment drivers showcase their skills in a challenging obstacle course competition. Winners earn bragging rights for a year!
