The BIG Rally event, which runs from 1-4 p.m. 4970 City Hall Boulevard, North Port, will kick off with the national anthem performed by America’s Got Talent alum and North Port resident Emanne Beasha. We’ll showcase a spirited pep rally featuring the local Little League, North Port schools, bands, along with local government leaders. Atlanta Braves alumni players Mike Bielecki and Michael Tucker will be at the Braves tent to sign autographs from 1-3 p.m. Ari and the Alibis will perform live music. People of all ages can enjoy big games and activities – including the Doxie Dash, a race for dachshunds. Food and beverage vendors will sell a variety of fare. This event includes free admission and parking. Vehicle space is limited around the City Center complex so a shuttle will be running from Heron Creek Middle School to the event from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
The rally follows the 34th annual Business and Community Expo held by the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored, in part, by the City of North Port. The business event runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center right next door.
Additionally, in the spirit of big events, CoolToday Park will host the Florida Sports Foundation Governor’s Baseball Dinner 2020 on Sunday, February 16. This brings team management, owners, influencers, and media from across the state to this Grapefruit League annual event.
